Watching tv the other day the relative peace and quiet was shattered by a nearby police siren, a fire engine blaring away and an ambulance siren. The announcer on the tv news program said something like "diabetes is a serious diseases..." and across the bottom of the tv screen scrolled a warning of storms or tornadoes or whatever the current terror is (according to them). All these events hit me in a matter of seconds (seemed like) and it occurred to me The System is nothing more than a Drama Queen - making up all kinds of "emergencies" so everyone will drop what they are doing (quietly living their lives) and attend to the current "emergency".
