Theories like Quimby's and other similar sources say the attitude is primary in all healing. Some go further and state the only healing force is mind/consciousness. The idea one DECIDES to do something about their personal healing (taking responsibility) then persistently and consistently goes through a routine they believe will help or heal them is a powerful move towards healing. The Rosicrucian Order, AMORC instructs their students on early rising and facing the east as a minor ritual. They hold there is a different kind of force prevalent at the early hours of the day. Many metaphysical organizations hold a similar view. Fundamental to Masonry is the metaphor of "going to the east". Anyone who does rise early and walks outdoors can't but wonder at the changes happening as the world awakens from the still slumbers of dark into a new day of activity. The sun energizes and empowers and brings activity and motion. It would appear sun-gazing is beneficial to health and well-being and this has been known for centuries. If the sun light were the only factor there would be little or no disease in sunny climates and there would be more diseases in places like the far north during their six month's of dark. Neither of these cases exists. Therefore, logically, we must weigh in on the DECISION and persistence side of this question. The mind and it's attitude play a marked role in healing whether with sun light or any other kind of administration. |
