Years ago when the internet was raw and forming I would sign up with most of the search engines. Did it myself. Later I paid to have it done a time or two. You must realize my topics are unique - not many web sites have these topics also I have a LOT of pages (± 11,000). If you have just a few pages and are competing with many other similar pages you will encounter a search engine placement problem.Ê The key of course is having something on your page that people actually want to see. A few weeks ago I had a fantastic example happen to me "by accident". I created a page showing who is actually winning the hearts and minds of America in the presidential race. See it here http://svpvril.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=1154 Over 40,000 people visited that page in ONE DAY. It took however a week or so for word to get around. I traced it back to this site: http://reddit.com/ Someone had posted a link to my page on this site and I think that is where most of the visitors came from. Interesting experience. However I cannot tell if any sales actually originated from all that traffic. But there was an instant increase in about 1,000 new links pointing back to my web site. So I figure they came from those visitors. So you see it is all a big mystery. If you can figure it out you could become quite wealthy very quickly. Have you seen my newest product?
