Ever get the dreaded feeling the world is going to hell and there is nothing you can do about it? 'Fess up! We've all had that feeling at one time or another. This feeling comes from the false idea of separation; i.e., not seeing the Big Picture or failing to see we are ALREADY One, have always been One and will always be One Mind shared through multiple bodies and experiences. Take for instance a bushel of apples. There is One bushel of apples. One collection of apples wherein all the apples are apples yet each is distinctly different from another, each having a distinctly different x, y, and z coordinate within that bushel. Hence no two are the same yet they are all One Bushel of Apples. Take one out, polish it and put it back. Has not the entire bushel of apples been enhanced by the enhancement of that one apple? Of course it has! Same same for One Humanity riding this planet through its seemingly endless journey through a seemingly endless expanse of seemingly empty space marking seemingly endless Time upon Times. As each individual polishes their apple (their Selves) the whole is enhanced. "No great thing is created suddenly, any more than a bunch of grapes or a fig. If you tell me that you desire a fig, I answer you that there must be time. Let it first blossom, then bear fruit, then ripen." Epictetus The process takes time - but we have endless time to do the enhancing. It is said there is no way for an individual to "change the world". Indeed, no individual has any right to change the world of another. What we each can do is change our own view of the world since our view is predicated on our interpretations of that which we think we see/experience. The answer then to changing the world is not going "out there" and do change unto the outer world but working on one's own perception of that which they think they see (our inner world) - and in this very personal process the world is changed because each is an integral and important component of the world. Polishing or in some other way enhancing Self enhances the world that much more than it was. So the original question remains: What do you wish your future world to be? The answer has always been: BE that and it will be so. As within so without..... |
