in a letter to Prateek: This is all so very interesting and synchronistic. I was aiming to acquire as much of Hubbard's writings as possible but seeing as how expensive they are it would take a long time for me. Your offer seems like a blessing from heaven. I'm tempted to say I'll be there next weekend but I really need to contemplate such a trip at least for a day or two, check the weather forecast, etc. Let me ask you that if you've been doing the Scientology studies and practices what can you tell me about the auditing process as moving towards the 'clear' state of mind? Have you experienced this? Do you know others who have? What can you tell me about the experience of being 'clear'? From Hubbard's writing (in this one book) it sounds to me very much like the Awakened state I've been studying and working towards. They sound so similar and nearly identical. I concur with you about the Scientology organization. So much of what I've read verifies what you say. This seems to be a common failing in certain organizations that were founded by an inspired and gifted individual only to be twisted and corrupted by those who come after him. The Cayce organization, the Rosicrucians AMORC and the Russell university are all prime examples of this phenomena. Such a shame but it is these types of enlightened individuals that drag everyone else (even the corrupt) into a Greater Awareness/Reality. They believe in the potential greatness of humanity and that life can be much better than the common experience. In skimming back over this book this early AM I found this quote: "Work began, to develop a device that would detect the more subtle changes in life energy and the mind." Understanding the E-Meter, page 98. So Hubbard was definitely working with Life Energy/Force. I can't wait until I can get my hands on more of his writings along these lines especially the earlier writings that Êhaven't been edited or rewritten by someone else. You are correct the collection you have is a treasure trove of wisdom, science and philosophy. And it would be extremely important in my hands to merge into the SVP Cosmology which is all about the subject of mind and its use in every aspect of human endeavor. Yes, I definitely want your collection as Hubbard's down-to-earth and no nonsense approach will add immeasurably to my work both in-house and shared. |
