I feel you are over reacting with this bit of humor. The piece was not written by me though perhaps I should not have sent it to the world for review. The piece, in my mind, does not reflect on women so much as it reflects on what some men mis-think about some women and then it pokes fun at that twisted view. As I've said so many times before our society has its origins in barbarism - which still persists today and shows its ignorance from time to time. On the positive side, setting aside bruised egos, we all see now that the article is important in that it shows how misunderstood both women and men are to each other. I've remarked earlier on how apparently different male and female are - seemingly different species yet they can communicate and get along with one another - despite all their seeming differences. If we are to Awaken to who and what we truly are - Love - then we must look at all our traits and beliefs, the good, the bad and the ugly. This article is being like a mirror we can all look into and review our thoughts, positions, perspectives, beliefs and concepts about who we think we are - in our own eyes and in those we imagine others are using to look at ourselves. Zoe, I cannot go into all this publically (at your request) but I can and have to say what is going on is part of the growth you are being called upon to experience right now. This growth into learning more about who you are (the Awakening process) is mightily accelerated in your case, right now, and will continue until the rough edges are honed away. Such can be a joyful experience or it can be a bit rough. BUT THAT IS ALL IT IS - a personal growth process. Everything you encounter in life now is for your personal Awakening. Indeed, all of us here on SVP are here for the growth offered and which many have gained and remarked upon during the past several years. Spiritual growth is an understanding on several levels and sometimes the more we grow the more pressurized we feel the process. But the process doesn't have to be offensive, difficult, strenuous or embarassing. It can be a gentle and loving opening up of ourselves to ourselves which then, as a Light, illumines those around us (society) which is transformed 'as a thief in the night'. So on the one hand I wish I hadn't sent the article but on the other hand I'm glad I did because of the growth we are now experiencing. I thank you all for being who and what you ALL are - Love - that I can see myself reflected in smiles, frowns, hearts and minds. |
