> religious people were systematically engaging in torture > and worse practices, in the name of religion. Now you've touched on something important. This dynamic of hate and violence in the name of something else carries into the bullying we see in schools, the lecherous grabbing of political power and people abuse, military tortures, etc. We also see it in personal relationships where for instance a loving and caring relationship turns into a hate and revenge filled experience. So one asks what is the underlying cause? Is it true this dynamic has the same cause whether experienced in a religious, personal and social environments? Perhaps the answer boils down to a couple of issues: 1) people were hurt by what they thought was love and now wish to stamp out that which caused them so much pain and 2) they were hurt by that which they loved (parents) and couldn't defend themselves but still wish to strike back out of seeming helpless anger. And of course there is guilt wherein one feels guilty and ashamed and they wish that others felt the same way and so they strike out. A relationship, whether personal, social or religious is one of "capping" one's negative feelings and judgments about self. For instance we like to be with a certain person because we like the way we feel while in their presence. This is a temporary reprieve from our own self condemnations, self-hate and self-loathing. As time goes by and familiarity sets in the cap wears thin and our thoughts about ourselves creeps back in and wham-oo! the honey-moon is over. This dynamic invariably occurs because people seek self Love outside themselves in another or a belief system. But one only finds outside what they know/believe inside. Therefore the only solution to organized destruction (religions) is for individuals to seek and cultivate that Inner Peace that passes understanding. People look for others to blame not realizing their salvation from their self-created hell is within themselves - not the destruction of something or someone outside of themselves. The reason this (states of mind) is important to SVP is because SVP-type machines are sensitive to people's inner thought chord settings. Aberrant chaotic thought disturbs SVP machines but a mind at peace is powerful. |
