I like the corn burner idea. The more I think about it the more I like it. It is cheaper by half than any other ordinarily used fuel. Corn is plentiful. It is a renewable resource. Corn as fuel gives the beleagered farmers a new market. Money spent on corn stays in the local community and local economy. Farm communities will be supporting themselves instead of the monstrous international corporate golems.

The other day I was speaking with a person who is active in a nearby school district. They are always concerned about costs and finances in general. If they converted all of their facilities (which are considerable) from propane and natural gas to corn (their community is surrounded by corn fields) they would save half their usual fuel bills. They would be supporting the farmers whose children they are educating. The money saved could be better used for additional educational purposes. The farmers could get out of debt as also the school district itself. Everybody wins! Except the greedy oil and gas companies.

BURNING SHELLED CORN AS FUEL

Burning shelled corn as a fuel can be a feasible way of dealing with the high prices of more conventional fuels such as fuel oil, propane, natural gas, coal, and firewood. Utilizing corn as a fuel does not compete with the food supply needed for nourishment throughout the world. While it is recognized that malnutrition is a serious global problem, the world is not experiencing a food production problem. Instead the world faces political challenges associated with providing infrastructure systems for food distribution and storage.
